The deal, in plain language
Terms of use.
Adults only. Pariter is for people 18 and older. By using it you confirm you are.
The videos belong to their creators. Every workout plays through the creator’s own official player, exactly as they published it — their views, their ads, their subscribers. We never download, copy or re-host anything, and the library stays free to watch. Because the library is built on YouTube’s API, by using Pariter you also agree to YouTube’s Terms of Service.
Not medical advice. Everything here — programs, food guidance, videos — is general education, not prescription. Train within your own limits; if you have a condition that training or food affects, talk to a professional first. Stop anything that hurts.
Live rooms are shared space. The code of conduct applies whenever cameras and chat are on. We don’t record sessions. Moderators can end any stream and remove any account that makes the room worse.
Your data. We ask for the minimum: your name and email to sign in, your answers to build your program, and calendar access only if you ask for scheduling — revocable any time in your Google account. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted. We don’t sell any of it.
Leaving. You can stop any time, and delete your account yourself in settings. Two things outlive you on purpose, because they belong to other people too: a group you founded passes to its longest-standing member rather than vanishing for everyone in it, and a video you submitted stays in the library with your name removed, since it may already sit in someone else’s plan.
Trainers, and sessions arranged through Pariter. Some members list themselves as trainers and describe training they offer. Pariter is not a party to those sessions. We take no booking and process no payment; whatever you agree is directly between the two of you. A trainer’s specialties, qualifications, rate and availability are their own statements about themselves, published as written — we do not check them unless a line beside their name says exactly what we checked, and even then that check is what it says and nothing more. Being listed here is not a recommendation, and no level of verification implies medical, physiotherapy or clinical expertise. Satisfy yourself that a person is right for you before you train with them, and stop anything that hurts.
This is the plain-language version and it governs until a formal one replaces it.
